How much at once?
The rule of thumb could be to start and end your day with a large glass of water and drink one glass between meals. If you eat three times a day, you drink 5 glasses of water.
That’s about 1-1.5 liters in total.
Drink water often and in small sips. This is how the body absorbs water most smoothly.
Season your water for more enjoyable experience
If you have measured the daily amount of water in your drinking bottle, but would like to add something to make it more enjoyable, try something from the following list.
- Herbs – mint, tarragon, basil, rosemary, thyme. All these wonderful herbs enrich the water with exciting flavors. Find your favorite!
- Cayenne pepper with honey and lemon – this combination gives the water the status of an already flavored drink and it tastes great. Don’t just overdo with honey, otherwise you could get a considerable amount of extra sugar in a day.
- Both fresh and frozen berries and other fruits add color, fun and freshness to your drinking water. And nice crunch!
